Facade Easement Donation Program

This is a great tax deduction for a property owner (must be a “contributing property” in the historic district) to apply for. The ideal time to apply is after ALL remodeling is completed and your property is at it’s highest appraised value because the value of the deduction is based on the property value. For example, a property that appraises for $100,000 would be eligible for a one time $20,000 federal tax deduction.
